ECDC Endorses Betty Yee, Mark DeSaulnier, Fiona Ma

At our February 22 endorsement forum, the ECDC made the following endorsements for the 2014 primary election:

Controller: Betty Yee

Secretary of State: No endorsement

Congress (CA-11): Mark DeSaulnier

Board of Equalization: Fiona Ma

Assembly (AD-15): No endorsement

Primary-endorsed candidates who go on to the general election will carry the ECDC endorsement. We will reconsider races with no endorsement before the general election in November.

February Meeting Preview

We have an action packed February meeting! The Club will consider endorsing candidates in the Assembly District 15, Secretary of State, Board of Equalization and State Controller races. All candidates’ bios are included in the newsletter.

 The Club will also be voting on a Tanker Car resolution and three program topics (from the list below) for 2014: 

  • 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act
  • 50th Anniversary of the War on Poverty
  • Prop 13-Split Role
  • Climate Change-IPPC
  • 4th amendment

If you need to renew your membership (or think you might), please arrive at El Cerrito High School at 12:30 p.m. with your checkbook. OR you can visit http://ecdclub.dev.haveabyte.com/ and renew through Paypal before the meeting.

This endorsement meeting will take the place of our normal Feb. Club meeting
