  • UPCOMING BUSINESS MEETING October 26, 2019

At the Annual Dinner, we will have one business item associated with appointing representatives to vote in the election of the California Democratic Council officers.  The California Democratic Council (CDC) is a California Democratic Party (CADEM) Statewide Chartered Organization with the mission to ensure that every California Democrat is served by a visible, organized, geographic and/or affinity-based Democratic Club that reaches out year-round to its community; recruits quality Democratic candidates for every appointed and elected position in its purview; supports those elected officials in advocating for Democratic Party values both as candidates and in their sworn public roles. The CDC helps Democratic Clubs to communicate their policy messages and positions on issues in a democratic manner and at the appropriate level to provide information and guidance to appointed and elected officials and candidates.  Our own Hilary Crosby has been president since May 2018.  The election of officers will be at the Fall Endorsing Convention in Long Beach, November 15 to 17.  ECDC will likely have 7 votes that can only be cast by someone attending.  All votes can be cast by proxy.  There are no absentee votes.  The action before the general membership is to identify one or more representatives that will be attending the convention with the power to vote on the Club’s behalf.
