AUG. 22 MEETING: AGENDA ITEMS

I’m sure we will all extend a warm ECDC welcome to our guest speaker, Robert Cheasty of Citizens for Eastshore Parks! His presentation will be consistent with our club’s longtime dedication to conservation and environmental activism.

I’d like to remind the membership that in August we also have several important items to consider or vote on:
–a budget amendment of $500 to fund recruitment efforts for freshly registered Democrats and just-moved-to-El Cerrito Democrats;
–dedicating an E-Board position for a Young Democrat; and
–putting over a Standing Rule requirement in Section F (“Selection of Delegates for Pre-Endorsement Caucus…”) for a later date (Standing Rule F requires delegate selection to happen at our September meeting, but our packed agenda at the Back-to-School meeting will make it advisable to postpone this activity).

Thank you all, and see you on the 22nd!

AUG. 22 PREVIEW: SPEAKER ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Robert Cheasty from Citizens for Eastshore Parks will be our Speaker for our August 22nd meeting. He will speak on sea level rise and will give us a local perspective on the subject as well as on climate change. Many of our ECDC Members will remember Robert as the former Mayor of Albany.
