Robert Cheasty from Citizens for Eastshore Parks will be our Speaker for our August 22nd meeting. He will speak on sea level rise and will give us a local perspective on the subject as well as on climate change. Many of our ECDC Members will remember Robert as the former Mayor of Albany.
NEW OFFICERS NEEDED FOR 2018!
Are you looking forward to 2018 – maybe flipping some Congressional seats, getting a new Assembly member for AD 15, the local battle for new school board members? You can make YOUR 2018 even more exciting by signing up to be an officer of the El Cerrito Democratic Club.
As of right now we need to replace our Vice President of Records and our Vice President of Publications. And we’re always looking for folks to step up and help with outreach, organizing our precinct walks, and other activities.
If you’re interested, please contact me, Hilary Crosby, immediate past president of the ECDC, at hoomehilary@comcast.net. I’m happy to work with you to get more involved.
